I’m a inmate at the Arizona Department of Corrections in Flagstaff, AZ and currently serving 26 years for Felony Escape, Armed Bank Robbery, Grand Theft Auto, and Possession of Crack Cocaine. I have been called one of the greatest escape artists of all time, but I won’t be escaping from my new cell. It is my escape. Welcome to T Dog’s blog.
Instead of reading the Bible or law books while serving my time, I decided to get my Cisco certifications. I am proud to finally hold my CCIE Voice certification after 2 whole years and to be drug free! I am also a CCVP and MCITP. When I get out, I’m gonna get some rack space in a data center and start sellin’ this hosted stuff myself! You dig?
I have been featured on America’s Most Wanted 14 times from July of 2000 until September of 2007. As outlined in my case file, I have spent a lot of time on the run and I thank God that I finally found a home with Cisco, the AZ state DOC, and the wonderful world of VoIP. I couldn’t have done it without the kindest and most generous man in the world, Mr. Fowler. He is my warden and my friend. I would also like to thank the Arizona taxpayers for my baller rig and for keeping this OC48 turned on. There is no way I could have made the strides that I have made on the weak bandwidth this prison runs on.
It all started back in 1996 when I thought robbing a bank was a good idea. Boy was I wrong and set in motion a course of events that would nearly kill me. I have robbed 37 banks, escaped from 6 maximum security facilities and a prisoner transport. To add to that, I am ashamed to say, I have even escaped police on foot more times than I can count and that is sad. I remember runnin’ through a lot of woods, that’s for sure. And swimming in a very cold river. High speed car chases, stealing cars, one after another, just because I needed to keep the police one step behind.
Anyway, you can call me T Dog and this is my blog. I want to share the cornucopia of VoIP knowledge that I’ve soaked up since I’ve been locked up and maybe save a few people from taking the path I did. Word up.

T Dog. Word Up! as you say. I am moved by your story and amazed by your conviction and commitment to restoring and recreating your integrity and place in the world. I, for one, have stumbled on your site as a result of a search for BLF information related to the Cisco 508G. I am new to VOIP (about a year) and have been investing heavily in educating myself and providing solutions to small businesses as a matter of social responsibility, helping them be competitive with the big corporate dogs in an ever expanding tech world.
I hope that we get to interact more as I know I have many gaps in my VOIP knowledge.

I found your blog about 2 years ago but never bothered to notice your story until now. Figures since we’re in such a rush to get things done we don’t even bother to see what’s right in front of us. The information you provided in your blog on the SPA 504 was very useful and I was able to set up an installation for a client without any issue back when I first found your blog. Today I had to add another phone to their system and remembered that I bookmarked your page, this when I noticed the orange jump suite. I almost fell out of my chair, so I just had to drop you a line.

Wow. How did you convince the prison officials to not only let you have access to this equipment, but also a real Internet connection?!
Your story is heart-stoppingly amazing, really. You clearly have intelligence, and I can only wonder what you might have done if you made different choices earlier in your life.
